First Bath!!

The last warm weekend of October was the perfect time for Eli's first bath...followed by some quality naked time with big brother in matching towels. Someone's personalized hooded towel is a little small these days.

Two Weeks Old

My how time flies when you're a newborn. Eli celebrated his 2 week birthday with a little sleep...

Then a little showing off of the cordless belly button...

Then some more sleeping. It's a rough life.

Brothers Morse

Finn and Eli kickin' it old school. Finn is the perfect big brother, doting on "his" new baby, very patient with Eli's lack of interaction and Mom and Dad's split attentions. Finn can't wait to tell Eli how the world works, and I'm sure if we looked hard enough, there's probably already a plan drawn up for world domination somewhere in Finn's room that involves Eli as a full-fledged accomplice rather than a fall guy.

Elijah Dwyer Morse, born 10-09-08, 8lbs. 9oz. 21"

How to Make a Baby, part 2

A job well done, but let's hear from the judges:

Judge AUNT CAKE: "Adorable! But he's kind of heavy at 8 lbs. 9 oz. And he's shorter than his brother was at 21 inches. Oh, who's counting? A PERFECT TEN!

Judges GRAMPDAHV and MAEMA: Awww, he's great, but really, we can't keep...oh, he's not a gift? Huh. FINE. Keep him then. We'll just have to resign ourselves to being happy with visits. TWO MORE TENS!

Judges AUNTIE KATE, AUNTIE ALLYSON, LO LO BIGELOW and LOO: We can't possibly vote on this effectively. The ballot box was obviously stuffed. Still, more tens, if we've got to participate.

Judge UNCLE LARSEN: Wait...you said there'd be beer...OH! Ha! (wink*wink) PERFECT TEN! Now, where's the beer? Seriously...?

Judge MOVED-AWAY MAPLE LEAF MOUNTIE: Awww...he's perfect, eh? TEN!

Ummm...Mommy? That last lady smells like maple syrup...

How to Make a Baby, part 1

First, take your own personal pregnant lady to the hospital and make her wait around for an epidural. Wait...WHAT?

Eventually, you get that pregnant lady hopped up on that I.V. drip of happiness.

Third, sneak your own personal professional L&D nurse posing as your sister into the room with you, sprinkled into a mix of other "family members", like that guy that got you here in the first place.

Then, watch as your sister explains. Here, we see Katie pointing out how computers make babies out of ink and paper.

Finally, some kid pops into the room.

All hail ELIJAH DWYER MORSE!
